Kyoko Coffee is a small, thoughtfully curated coffee cart nestled off Airport Blvd in Austin’s Highland area. This spot draws in a mix of local coffee enthusiasts and travelers looking to start their day with something out of the ordinary. If you’re someone who enjoys coffee with an adventurous twist and appreciates a slower, more deliberate preparation, Kyoko offers a refreshing alternative to the usual café routine.

The setup is compact and cozy, centered around a kei van that acts as the coffee kiosk. Seating is minimal, so most visitors grab their drinks to go or find a nearby spot to settle in. The vibe is casual and family-friendly, with a pace set by the staff’s careful attention to detail—expect to wait a little longer than a typical quick-stop coffee joint, but it’s worth it for the quality.

Kyoko’s menu sings with creativity, blending Asian-inspired flavors into its coffee offerings. Drinks like the Yuzu Espresso Tonic bring a bright, effervescent twist, while the Tokyo Banana layers creamy banana custard with espresso for a rich treat. Their ube latte variations nod to Filipino flavors with a cereal milk note that pairs well with oat or whole milk. If you lean toward tea, unique matches like the Ichigo Lucky strawberry matcha or the Miso Piloncillo, combining sweet and salty umami notes, stand out for those tired of the regular matcha fare.

Locals tend to visit Kyoko for the distinctiveness of its drinks rather than a place to linger for hours. It fits nicely into a morning routine for those living in the area or anyone headed out on a road trip who wants a coffee experience that’s as much about flavor exploration as caffeine. The small space and attentive staff make it feel personal; customers often come back not just for the drinks but because the team approaches preparation with visible passion.

Best times to visit are weekdays or weekend mornings before a busy day, when the service feels more relaxed and the demand isn’t at its peak. Parking is available nearby alongside other food trucks, making it convenient for a quick stop. Although the cart doesn’t have much seating, it suits anyone who wants an inventive coffee fix on the move rather than a long café session.

In short, Kyoko Coffee serves a niche within Austin’s vibrant coffee scene—offering inventive, layered drinks with a cultural twist, made meticulously in a humble, mobile setting. It’s an attractive choice for coffee drinkers interested in new flavor profiles and a pause from mainstream coffee chains.

Simply my favorite coffee kiosk. The service is always impeccable; the staff is super friendly, attentive, and makes you feel welcome the moment you arrive. What I love most is the creativity in their drinks. You can tell there is passion and a unique touch in every preparation—they always have new and original options that are definitely worth trying. And of course, the flavors are spectacular. The coffee is high-quality, and the combination of ingredients is perfect. Every visit is a delicious experience. Highly recommended. Marlon***

The perfectly executed spro and creative speciality drinks as well! There’s nothing better than finding a coffee shop that cares as much about attention to detail as you do. Don’t be surprised if you wait a few moments for your drink; good things take time.

Intrigued by the name "Kyoko" and wanted to try it. Cute drink names and it was hard to decide what to get. We had Miso Piloncillo and it was really good; deep flavor and subtle sweetness. The staff was nice and the place is small but family friendly (there were two other food trucks and parking spaces at the address). Too bad we could make it here only once due to the holiday time and we want to come back.

I have been going to this place since it was opened. I have tried coffee from all over the world, and I have to say this is hands down, the best coffee shop in all of Austin TX and some of the best coffee I have had in my life. All in a cute little kei van. Many of the drinks are inspired by Asian flavors. Kyoko serves matcha, coffee, and other seasonal and specialty drinks. I highly recommend dreams of ube, matcha latte, and the miso piloncillo which is a show stopper. None of the drinks are excessively sugary, and they all have very complex and deep flavors. It is not too rich or overwhelming either. Just right! Patrick is extremely talented and creative when it comes to making coffee and matcha. He goes out of his way source high quality beans and matcha. Higher quality than your average coffee shop. He is extremely knowledgeable as well and happily explains the menu items in detail. I have to say, this might be Austin's cutest coffee, but it's also Austin's best coffee.

Kyoko Coffee is such a cute little coffee cart tucked in the Austin Highland area. We stopped by for coffee before starting our road trip, and it was a lovely experience overall. I ordered the Umami Mocha and absolutely loved it—so flavorful and unique. My husband had a cortado and didn’t enjoy it as much since it was served lukewarm. My sister-in-law got the mango matcha and she really liked it! I’m not a matcha girl so I can’t judge, haha. The atmosphere was charming and Patrick’s service was genuinely kind and welcoming. I’d definitely come back to try more.

Before I leave Austin, I have to give a recommendation to my new favorite coffee place. they have the most delicious and interesting coffees and Matcha ever. And also the owner is like the most nice human I’ve ever met remembers everybody’s name in the neighborhood and they have this Ube latte that is literally the most amazing thing ever . Today I tried an espresso tonic, which was so interesting and unexpectedly refreshing The little coffee truck is so cute. You have to check them out.

My partner and I kept seeing their cute little truck when we drove past on Airport and we finally decided to stop in a few months ago! Since then we've been multiple times! Kyoko Coffee is authentic and delicious. They hands down have one of the best pumpkin spice lattes in the city! Definitely check it out when it's in season. Otherwise, I love the Umami Mocha :)

Located near Highland Collective, this coffee shop is truly the most adorable little coffee truck. The owners (white guy/Japanese woman sorry didn’t grab their names) who runs this truck are so sweet and so kind. They have an outside play area with a playscape for kids with picnic tables that are shared with two other food trailers and it’s nice they also have some tables next to their space as well. It’s also shaded which is nice and they have electric fans that are running all over. Parking is easy and free as you can park in Highland Collective parking lot which is right next door. To find the truck it’s off Airport Blvd and you will see it behind a grey chain linked fence. Drink wise I got their seasonal drink which was mango matcha drink with oatmilk was absolutely delicious - the mango was fresh and the matcha was great, not chalky at all and great flavor. The barista had made a little too much matcha and gave me the extra matcha which was sweet. My husband got the Miso Piloncillo and liked it as well. I appreciate the drink isn’t too sweet at all. For their hours as of 6/16/25 Yelp is incorrect. It is Wednesday - Friday 9 AM - 3 PM and Saturday/Sunday 8 AM - 3 PM (subject to change) but that’s what they told me. We went on a Sunday and it was great! Highly recommend and can’t wait to go back to try their banana drink!
